I am writing to express the United Nations News and Media Division\u2019s support for the\ndocumentary series Planet Odyssey, consisting of four films to be shot over the\nnext five years by Mr. Philippe Boucher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Planet Odyssey\nwill highlight the links between humankind and the environment in protected<\/p>\n\n\n\n
areas around the\nworld. The films will document the planet\u2019s diverse landscapes and ecosystems,\nraise awareness about long- and short-term environmental threats, and highlight\nefforts by people to mitigate these threats with a view to inspiring\nindividuals to play an active role in protecting and preserving the natural\nenvironment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Planet\nOdyssey aligns with the United Nations\u2019\nprinciples and priorities, the United Nations News and Media Division is currently discussing\nwith Mr. Boucher and his team ways of incorporating Planet Odyssey material\ninto our multimedia public information products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
